December 29th and I’m looking down the business end of a reprieve. I’ll be spending the next four nights away from my own apartment, housesitting for my manager.
I’ll have the next four nights out of my typical environment with a relaxing fireplace, all the Disney movies I could hope for and two cuddly dogs. I’ll take my art projects with me and maybe even manage to get some reading done.
2011 was not a bad year. It wasn’t a great year, but it wasn’t terrible. I had great times and terrible times, and here I am on December 29th, eager to see what I can bring myself in 2012.
The next four nights of my life will be used productively to outline hopes and goals for the months ahead and to cleanse the pain and frustration of the months behind.
